Guaranteed to BLOW YOU AWAY!” Who Are We? - Based out of Pasco WA, Ned Hastings is the owner & CLO - Chief Luminary Officer of “Night Lighting FX.” Ned has an intense passion for artistic landscape and architectural low voltage lighting, and he has achieved national recognition for his outdoor lighting designs. His work has been featured in Unique Lighting Systems Inc.’s advertising material (Unique is a leader in the low voltage outdoor lighting industry) please see “Featured Work”. Ned has also won the Association of Outdoor Lighting Professional’s (AOLP) 2008 Award of Distinction Experienced category Specialty projects. Another attribute that distinguishes Ned as a leader in the outdoor lighting industry is that he is the only contractor in Washington State who has completed the very difficult (CLVLT) accreditation program of the AOLP. Ned has attained the professional status as a Certified Low Voltage Lighting technician - (CLVLT) designation #0852. The Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals (AOLP) lvlia.com formerly known as the “LVLIA” - is the only nationally recognized nonprofit organization in effect that strives to promote excellence among designers, contractors, distributors, manufacturers, and any other profession involved in the landscape and architectural lighting industry. The AOLP’s mission statement is: “To promote and advance the outdoor lighting industry, increasing the visibility of landscape & architectural lighting.” Night Lighting FX is also in alliance with the International Darksky Association (IDA) darksky.org and their recommendations for lighting practices. These practices are in effect to aid in the protection of our night sky environment, which include light trespass measures and glare protection. By employing proper light fixtures, using minimal wattage levels, and employing down lighting techniques when ever possible, we can better help to preserve these efforts.
